It’s been a long time since I blogged. But today I got the bug again, and headed out into the woods in search of mushrooms. I did not take Oliver with me as the last time I headed into the woods with him, I got lost, and we walked for several hours before I found the road again. We’d gone in a U-turn.
I did think briefly of taking my compass, but decided since I was taking a route I’d taken many times, there was no need. (You know what’s coming, don’t you.)
It’s a grey and damp day, but warm, with no real rain.
Hi Carol, I don’t have a phone. But I do have a compass, if only I’d remember to take it with me! That’s key—it doesn’t work well in the drawer at home. HAHA!
This blog is a daily record of my sojourns out of the house into nature. I made a commitment to myself to head outside for battery recharging at least once every day – for a year. No exceptions. Here you will read about my daily adventures.
I was going to call this “Heading Inside Outside” for it is my hope and expectation that by purposefully taking my mind and body outside, I will journey inside to that place where reality lies. This will be an organic blog – it will go where my mind goes (and believe me, my mind goes all over the place), and perhaps in time, where my spirit leads.
Yes it has been a long time. Nice to read you again!
Thank you! It’s lovely to have your comment—let’s me know I’m not just blogging to myself!
Wow, Julie! I’m glad you made it back home. Don’t you have gps on your phone?
Love, Cousin Carol
